Summertime in Grindelwald
In summer there are many things to discover in Grindelwald. From hiking till biking, river rafting till paragliding….
Do you like it more relaxing? A great hiking trail net around Grindelwald is waiting for you to be discovered. The Eiger nordface feeling you will find on the Eigertrail from Eigergletscher down to Alpiglen. Or visit one of the SAC-mountainhuts like Glecksteinhut, Schreckhornhut, Mönchsjochhut, Engelhornhut or observe the spectacular rock falls at the Eiger eastside from the Bäregghut.
Desire to climb a summit? An alpine trail and climbing-rise you will find up to Schwarzhorn. The Faulhorn is famous for the unique view. For more trips and tipps ask at the reception.
Furthermore you can book paragliding flights at the reception. As a unique experience you will remember the flight down into the valley of Grindelwald. Do you like more biking? Around Grindelwald are many biking trails to ride. At the reception you will get bike maps and some advise for planning your bike day. In august we have hunderts of bikers who challenge themselfes on the Eiger Bike Challenge.
Desire to refresh yourself? Then we recommend you Canyonning or River Rafting. For an extreme adrenalin kick off you can do a bungy-jump into our glacier gorge. Those trips can be booked directly at the reception as well.
The Jungfraujoch is the absolut trip goal in the Jungfrau region. The Jungfrau train will bring you up to Top of Europe, 3454m above sea level. There you are in middle of a phenomenal glacierland of the UNESCO World Heritage Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn. From the view point terrace of Sphinx you see the uncomperable panorama of the alps with its longest glacier, the Aletschglacier.
